-
This group effort started from complaints that surfaced during a WMS PTSO meeting. It was determined that a separate meeting needed to be held, and more out reach to other parents should be attempted.
-
A meeting was held on March 7th, attended by 20-25 parents.
-
At this meeting a list of problems was determined, and a list of requests that would be made to WMS Administration.
-
The PBS document was developed based on this meeting, and a date to meet with Administration was set.
-
On April 1st this meeting was held, this is the first the Administration had heard the information being presented. It was the general consensus that they were defensive, and the meeting was not fruitful, but this was anticipated and expected. A follow up letter was sent to the Administration, again offering cooperation. To remind them that we expect a timely response.
-
The next meeting for follow-up with the Admin is established for May 5th.
May Membership Meeting: Pat Calvo
-
We would like to consider changing the venue for the May meeting to take place at Fred’s Brick House Pizza. Jason has offered to sing with the kids. We feel this might entice more people to attend, and it is the last meeting for membership before the summer break.
-
All agreed that this would be a nice change.

April Clean Sweep: Laiza Collazo

We will be sending out a mailing asking for volunteers.
-
We will get coffee and donuts, and do a Raffle for a gift card for the volunteers.

-
We should try to start with 3rd Thursdays, to declare People’s Park a non-smoking area.
-
We will start by writing a letter to the First Selectwoman, and the 3rd Thursday Committee.
-
